Expenses overview
flair Expenses connects employee claims in the Employee Hub with review and reimbursement workflows in Salesforce. It supports the enhanced Expense Groups and Expense Items framework alongside the legacy workflow.
Who can use this?
Employees and Managers in the Employee Hub, and HR Admins in the flair HR app in Salesforce.
What you can do
- Group related expenses — collect claims for a trip or event in an Expense Group.
- Record detailed items — document line items, upload receipts, and attach invoices.
- Calculate allowances — apply expense rules for mileage, per diem, and other allowances.
- Manage tax — assign tax automatically from an Expense Item record type.
- Classify spending — maintain merchants and categories for employee purchases.
- Run approvals — submit, review, approve, or decline individual claims and Expense Groups.
- Track reimbursement — follow claims from Draft through Reimbursed.
- Discuss claims — use comments and notifications to clarify an expense.
The enhanced framework adds Expense Groups, Expense Items, automatic calculations, and group-level approval. Organizations that have not migrated can continue to use the legacy workflow.
