Connecting Google or Outlook Calendar to Absence Calendar
You can subscribe to Google or Outlook calendars to view the absences of your team or business. This allows you to see absence information directly in your preferred calendar application.
Getting the Calendar URL
To connect your absence calendar to Google or Outlook, you first need to get the calendar URL from the Employee Hub:
- In the Employee Hub, click on Absences
- Click on Colleagues
- Adjust the filters - The filters you choose here determine which absences will be visible in your connected calendar. The URL you copy will always be connected to this filtered view. You can adjust the filters and copy another URL if you want.
- Click on the calendar icon
- Click on Copy URL for your calendar
The URL you copy will contain the filtered view of absences based on your current filter settings.
Connecting to Google Calendar
- Go to your Google Calendar and click on Settings menu (you may need to open the main menu bar located in the upper left corner)
- Click on Settings
- Click on Add other calendars
- Click on From URL
- Paste the previously copied URL into the designated field
- Click on Add calendar
- Click on Go back
You will now find the calendar in your Google Calendar sidebar. Absences from the flair Employee Hub Calendar will appear in your Google Calendar and will automatically update.
Connecting to Outlook
- Click on Calendar
- Click on Add calendar
- Click on Subscribe from web
- Paste the previously copied URL into the designated field
- Name your Calendar
- Click on Import
Now you'll see Absences from the flair Employee Hub Calendar appear in your Outlook Calendar!
The calendar URL you copy is connected to the filtered view you have set up. If you want to change which absences are visible, adjust your filters in the Employee Hub and copy a new URL.
