Employee Data Change Requests
Employees can propose changes to their own profile data — such as their personal phone number, private email address, or bank details — through a guided form in the Employee Hub. These changes go through an approval workflow before taking effect, giving HR visibility and control over sensitive data updates.
Submitting a Data Change Request
To request a change to your personal data:
- Open the Employee Hub and navigate to your profile
- Click the field or section you want to update
- Enter the new value and submit the request
Depending on your organisation's settings, the request may need to be approved by your manager or an HR admin before the change is applied to your record.
Deleting a Related-List Record
Wherever editing a related list (for example a dependent or emergency contact) is already allowed, you can also delete a record from that list:
- Open the Employee Hub and navigate to the related list on your profile.
- Open the record you want to remove and choose the delete action.
Depending on the request form's settings, the deletion happens right away or is sent for approval first, just like any other data change request.
Notifications
Employees receive a notification in the Employee Hub when the status of their data change request changes:
- Approved — the change has been accepted and applied to your record
- Rejected — the request was declined; you will see the reason if a comment was left
- New comment — a manager or HR admin has added a comment on your request
Notifications appear in the Hub notification centre and, depending on your notification settings, may also be sent by email or mobile push.
Checking Request Status
You can view the current status of any data change request from your profile in the Employee Hub. Open the relevant field or the request history to see whether the request is pending, approved, or rejected.
For HR Admins
Pending data change requests can be reviewed and actioned in the flair HR app in Salesforce, under the Employee Data Change Requests section on the employee record. You can approve, reject, or add a comment directly from that view.
