Onboarding in flair

Onboarding in flair uses reusable workflow templates to give new hires and the people supporting them a consistent series of tasks. HR teams configure the steps, timing, task types, and responsible people in Salesforce; assignees then receive and complete their work in the Employee Hub. The same area also documents the Salesforce record updates needed when an employee leaves.

What you can do

  • Create Workflow Templates for Onboarding, Offboarding, or Other recurring processes, with steps that start after earlier mandatory tasks or relative to dates such as the Employee Start Date.
  • Add General, Upload, Data, Performance Review, Evaluation, Signature, and Email tasks, including deadlines, responsible roles, video instructions, and optional subtasks.
  • Assign workflows to individuals or multiple people by location, department, or team. Salesforce Flows can also assign a Workflow Template when someone joins a team.
  • Let employees complete workflow tasks in the Employee Hub, enter requested data, upload documents, update task status, and comment on tasks.
  • Offboard an employee by setting the documented End Dates for the employee record, workload, assigned absence policies, Employee Salaries, and Recurring Compensations.

Where it happens

Workflow Templates, assignments, and employee record updates are managed in the flair HR app in Salesforce. Assignees and managers work with assigned tasks in the Employee Hub. Depending on notification settings, assigned employees may also receive workflow notifications and reminders through Slack.
