Configure HR Help Desk settings
Choose which ticket categories employees can pick in the Employee Hub, and set up whistleblower reporting and ticket anonymity. All settings live on the HR Help Desk page in Salesforce and apply to your whole organization.
HR Admins in Salesforce. The HR Help Desk link in HR Admin is available to users with the HR Manager custom permission. HR Helpdesk is an optional feature that can be added to your flair package.
Open the HR Help Desk settings
- In Salesforce, open HR Admin.
- Under Other, click HR Help Desk. The Categories page opens.
Every change on this page saves as soon as you make it. There's no Save button.
Choose ticket categories
Employees choose a category in the first step of a new ticket. Only active categories appear there.
- Under Categories, find the category.
- To show the category to employees, turn its toggle on. To hide it, turn the toggle off.
- Optional: To turn off every category at once, click Unselect all.
Set up whistleblower reporting
Turn on Whistleblower Protection Compliance to give employees a dedicated category for reporting wrongdoing, ethical violations, or compliance concerns. It's off by default.
- Next to Whistleblower Protection Compliance, turn the toggle on.
- In the dropdown below it, select the category that handles whistleblower reports.
When an employee selects that category in the Employee Hub, the new ticket shows a notice that your organization complies with the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive (EU) 2019/1937.
Turning Whistleblower Protection Compliance off resets ticket anonymity to Employee choice.
Choose whether tickets are anonymous
You can change this setting only while Whistleblower Protection Compliance is on. The default is Employee choice.
- Select Employee choice or Always anonymous.
| Option | What happens in the Employee Hub |
|---|---|
| Employee choice | Employees can select Stay anonymous or Share with my manager when they submit their own ticket. |
| Always anonymous | Every ticket submitted in the Employee Hub is anonymous, whatever its category. Employees don't see the Stay anonymous or Share with my manager options. |
flair doesn't link an anonymous ticket to any employee record, so the ticket shows no employee in Salesforce or the Employee Hub, and it never appears in a manager's team ticket list. Anything the employee writes in Details or attaches to the ticket stays visible to HR.
Always anonymous also applies to tickets a manager submits for a team member. Those tickets aren't linked to the employee either.
