Configure HR Digest Notifications
Send HR teams an automated email summary of upcoming employee birthdays and work anniversaries. Configure each digest on HR Home with its recipients, schedule, content, and employee segment.
Who can use this?
HR Admins who can manage Digest Configuration on HR Home in Salesforce.
Create an HR digest
- In Salesforce, open HR Home.
- Under Digest Configuration, click +.
- Under Type, select HR. This is the only available type.
- Under Team, select the recipient team, such as
HR Germany. - Under Frequency, select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
- Configure the schedule for the selected frequency.
- Select Birthdays, Anniversaries, or both.
- Enable Active.
- Click Save. flair calculates the next run in your organization's time zone.
The frequency controls these schedule settings and email periods:

| Daily | Select a send time. | Events today. |
| Weekly | Select a weekday and send time. | Events in the upcoming week. |
| Monthly | Select a day from 1 through 28 and a send time. | Events in the upcoming month. |
Limit a digest with an employee segment
Use an employee segment to limit a digest by criteria such as location or entity.
- Open the digest configuration.
- Click Edit Segments.
- Define the criteria, such as
Location = AmsterdamorEntity = Germany GmbH. - Save the segment.
You can create multiple configurations with different segments:

Review the digest email
The email lists employees with birthdays and work anniversaries in the period determined by the frequency.
Manage HR digests
On HR Home, you can manage every saved digest:
- Edit changes the frequency, schedule, team, segment, or included content.
- Activate/Deactivate pauses or resumes a digest without removing its configuration.
- Delete removes the digest configuration.
