Multiple Employee Hubs

Organizations that operate several brands or legal entities from a single flair org can run multiple Employee Hubs — each with its own domain, logo, and login page. Employees are automatically routed to the Hub that matches their entity, and Slack notifications and email links point at the right Hub for each recipient. Customers running a single Hub are unaffected.

How It Works

flair keeps a separate Hub record for each Employee Hub you run. Each Hub has its own:

  • Domain and login page (for example acme.hub.flair.hr and globex.hub.flair.hr)
  • Branding — logo and login image
  • Entity assignment — the entities whose employees belong to that Hub

An employee's entity determines which Hub they log in to, so someone in the "Acme" entity lands on the Acme Hub while a colleague in "Globex" lands on the Globex Hub. Notification links (Slack, email) are generated per recipient, so each employee always receives links to their own Hub.

Setup

Multiple Hubs is an advanced configuration. If you're setting it up for the first time, involve your Customer Success Manager.

  1. Create a Hub and domain for each brand or entity. Set up a custom domain for each Hub — see Employee Hub Custom Domain. Each domain corresponds to one Hub record.
  2. Brand each Hub. Upload the logo and login image for each Hub so employees see the right identity on the login page and inside the Hub.
  3. Assign entities to Hubs. On each Entity record in the flair HR app, set the Hub lookup to the Hub that entity's employees should use. Employees inherit their Hub from their entity.
  4. Set a default Hub. Mark one Hub as the default so employees without a specific entity assignment still have a Hub to log in to.

Once configured, each employee is routed to their entity's Hub automatically at login, and all notification links resolve to that Hub.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Each Hub can use its own SSO configuration, so entities with different identity providers can each sign in against their own setup. See Enable SAML Single Sign-On for configuring SSO.

Notes

  • Customers running a single Employee Hub are unaffected — no change to their setup.
  • Branding (logos, banners) only appears correctly once each entity is assigned to the correct Hub. If logos or banners don't show, check the Entity → Hub assignment first.
