Renaming Objects and Fields

If your organization uses different terminology than flair's defaults — for example calling the Department object "Org Unit" — you can rename objects and fields in Salesforce using standard renaming (Setup → Object Manager → Rename Tabs and Labels).

Where Custom Names Appear

Custom object and field names are reflected across both Salesforce and the Employee Hub, including:

• Filters, columns, tabs, and pickers in Attendance, Staff & Docs, Workplace, and Inventory
• The Shift Planner
• Headcount and performance reports
• The Org Chart

Wherever flair would otherwise show the default label (such as "Department" or "Location"), it shows your custom name instead, so employees and managers see consistent terminology throughout the app.

Renaming an object or field only changes its display label — the underlying API name stays the same, so existing reports, automations, and integrations continue to work.
