Custom Hub Navigation Links
HR admins can add their own navigation elements to the Employee Hub — links in the sidebar, a Quick Links card on the dashboard, and entries in the profile dropdown menu. Each element can open an external URL, an embedded Salesforce Flow, or a custom component, and visibility is controlled per employee. Use it to surface the tools your team uses most — an intranet page, a benefits portal, an internal form, or a custom flair Flow — right where employees already work.
What You Can Add
- Sidebar links — extra items in the Employee Hub's left-hand navigation.
- Quick Links card — a card on the Hub dashboard with a set of shortcuts.
- Profile-dropdown entries — items in the menu under the employee's avatar.
Each element can point to:
- an external URL (opens the linked page),
- an embedded Salesforce Flow (runs a Flow inside the Hub), or
- a custom Lightning Web Component.
Related elements can be grouped so they expand inline, keeping the navigation tidy.
Setup
- In the flair HR app, open the Hub Element Definitions tab from the Salesforce App Launcher.
- Click New and choose where the element appears — sidebar, Quick Links card, or profile dropdown.
- Give it a label (and icon, where applicable) and set its target: an external URL, an embedded Flow, or a custom component.
- To group several links together, assign them to the same group so they expand inline.
- Control visibility per employee using segmentation — by department, entity, location, or individual employees — the same way you customize the Employee Hub menu. Leave the audience empty to show an element to everyone.
Saved elements appear in the Employee Hub for the employees in scope.
