Onboarding Certificates, Custom Time Entry Fields, and Avatar Controls

🆕 New Features

Onboarding: New hires can now add their certificates — work permits, licences and similar — during pre-onboarding, before their first day. Managers can see who has already submitted what, so anything missing can be followed up before the start date instead of after it.

Time Tracking: Time entries now support custom form fields across the Employee Hub, so employees can record extra context such as work location (home office or onsite) when they create an entry. The fields can be filled in on past entries too, and managers see them in the time entry controlling views.

Employee Hub: Two new configuration options give admins independent control over profile pictures: one blocks employees from uploading or changing their own avatar, the other prevents avatars from being deleted from the Hub.

Compensation: Managers running a compensation review in the Hub now see a budget consumption view — how much of the allocated budget the review has used, with drill-down into their reporting line.

Skills: Admins can now stop employees from adding, rating or removing individual skills, rather than switching off self-service skill assignment for the whole organisation. Useful for scheduling-critical skills such as first-aider certification.

Employee Hub: If your organisation runs several Hubs from one Salesforce org, each Hub can now be connected by its own Salesforce integration user with its own credentials, and connection health is reported per Hub instead of per org.

Career Portal: The text shown above the optional questions on step 2 of the application form is now customisable, so you can explain in your own words that answering them is optional.

🔧 Improvements

Recruiting: The Employee Hub no longer caps the job list at the first 250 jobs. All jobs are displayed and searchable, so organisations running several hundred open roles no longer have to close unused ones to find the rest.

Employee Data: The Approval Request Details panel now shows the change request reason, so approvers can see the justification the requester was asked to provide before deciding.

Engagement Surveys: HR admins can now see the participant list for anonymous engagement surveys, confirming who was included without seeing any individual's answers.

Career Portal: Pasted content in job descriptions now renders in the portal's own font. Font and font-size formatting carried over from Word or other sources is stripped, while bold, italics and lists are kept.

Career Portal: Application file uploads are now validated against the allowed file types on the server, not just in the browser.

Employee Hub: Email and password login in the mobile app is now scoped by company domain, so employees whose address exists in more than one connected org reach the right Hub.

Performance: Career portal pages load faster — the job feed is cached instead of being rebuilt on every request. Separately, the Hub makes substantially fewer Salesforce API calls, which matters for organisations that were approaching their daily API limit.

🐞 Bug Fixes

Time Tracking: Custom fields marked as required on time entries are now actually enforced. Clocking out with a required field left blank was previously allowed, so the workaround was a hand-written validation rule.

Time Tracking: Manual time entries for overnight shifts that span midnight are available again, behind an explicit setting, without break-rule violations being flagged for legitimate night work.

Absence Management: An absence request can no longer be approved when the allowance doesn't cover it. The balance check ran only as an advisory check in the Hub interface, so a request that slipped past it could push an allowance negative.

Employee Hub: Inputs on self-service change-request forms — email, address, bank details — can now be cleared completely. The final character previously could not be deleted.

Employee Hub: Fixed an account collision that occurred when a Salesforce sandbox was cloned from production, so the same employee email can be registered against both orgs' Hubs.

Career Portal: The "Website" link in the company information block now opens in a new tab. When the portal is embedded in your own site through an iframe, clicking it used to load the destination inside the frame with no way back to the job listing.

Career Portal: Links that are configured to open in a new tab now keep that behaviour when rendered on the portal.

Performance: Updating a key result value on a team or company objective from the Hub no longer fails with an error.

Dashboard: Fixed a cheer that rendered outside the layout on the employee profile.

Translations: Fixed mixed English and German text in survey information, the untranslated Quellensteuer workflow, and inconsistent wording for "noon" on half-day absences, plus the regular translation quality passes.
