Hub updates — September 2024

This entry covers changes to Hub deployed in September 2024.

🆕 New Features​

Kiosk: A new kiosk lets employees track their time on a shared tablet. Employees can log in with a PIN or by scanning a QR code, admins can set up which login methods are allowed, and the kiosk shows the company logo, employee avatars, help text and time tracking warnings. The kiosk is available in English and German.

Absences: The absence widget has been reworked to show accurate allowance figures, including accrued, carried-over, expired and lost days, years-of-service and manual allowances, and sick leave.

Absences: The allowance withdrawal table in absence requests now matches the available amount, including for yearly accrual policies and custom periods.

Workflows: Workflows can now include e-signature tasks. After signing, the task shows that the document was signed, and a manager cannot sign on the employee's behalf.

General: You are now logged out after a period of inactivity and see a "Session Timeout" message. Admins can configure the inactivity timeout.

🔧 Improvements​

Calendar: Calendar exports now use the correct time zone for hourly absences.

Dashboard: If calendar periods are set up for an employee, the public holidays widget shows them instead of the location's holidays.

Workflows: The task list now shows a "Workflow Assignee" column with the name of the employee the workflow is for.

General: Navigation and top actions are hidden when you print a page.

General: The "What's new" widget has been removed.

🐞 Bug Fixes​

Absences: Absence categories and new joiner texts with special characters such as apostrophes now display correctly.

Absences: Hourly absence categories now show hours instead of days in the absence summary.

Projects: Time entries for projects that were deleted no longer break the projects page.

Workflows: Special characters and line breaks in workflow data requests are now handled correctly, and invalid data request fields are skipped.

General: Various smaller fixes and performance improvements.
