Hub updates — Sep 14, 2026

🆕 New Features

Dashboard: You can now delete direct chats for everyone, and group admins can delete group conversations, with empty conversations cleaned up automatically.

Dashboard: You can now attach files to chat messages—including pasted screenshots—with images shown inline and other files downloadable in one click, up to five files or 3.5 MB per message.

Time Tracking: Kiosks can now play a short sound to confirm clock-ins, clock-outs, and breaks, and admins can turn this on per kiosk in its configuration page.

Employee Profile, Settings: Admins can now customize the Company Directory's filters, choosing which fields (including lookup fields like manager) appear, in what order, and under what name.

Time Tracking: Admins can now set each kiosk to require confirmation, use one-tap clock-in/out, or auto clock-in employees on identification, while clocking out always needs an explicit tap.

Dashboard: You can now chat with coworkers in named groups from a panel in the Employee Hub top bar, with real-time updates, unread indicators, and push notifications.

Settings: The mobile app can now check the latest published iOS and Android versions, laying the groundwork for future update notifications.

Employee Profile: Employees can now view and add inventory from their mobile device, while managers can review, assign, update, and unassign inventory for their team members.

Employee Profile: You can now add inventory items directly from the mobile app, including creating a new catalogue entry, just like you can on Hub.

Requests, Calendar: Employees can now request changes to an existing absence, such as different dates, directly from the absences page, subject to manager approval.

🔧 Improvements

Dashboard, Employee Profile, Requests, Calendar, Documents, Onboarding, Settings: You'll notice buttons, badges, alerts, text fields, tooltips, cards, avatars, and empty states across the Hub now have a refreshed look with clearer focus states—no changes to layout or workflow.

HR Help Desk: Mobile HR Help Desk users can now view ticket subjects, open individual ticket details, and access the manager ticket queue directly from the app.

General: When end-to-end authentication fails, you'll now see a clear, structured error message explaining what went wrong instead of a generic failure notice.

General: Pull request tests now run on four-CPU runners, giving you faster test results when you submit a PR.

Dashboard: Opening the Hub chat panel now uses fewer Salesforce requests, helping organizations with many conversations stay within their usage limits.

Settings: Your chat group keys are now encrypted with a master key, so your message history can't be read from a database copy alone.

Dashboard, Employee Profile, Requests, Calendar, Documents, Onboarding, Settings: You'll notice a refreshed look in the Employee Hub with updated colors, buttons, and form fields—everything works exactly the same as before.

Dashboard: New goals in the Hub are now automatically set to "Management + HR" visibility, but you can still choose a wider audience if you want.

Compensation, Goals: You can now view compensation review screens and performance calibration in Italian, plus more Spanish, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Russian translations for compensation review titles, actions, and roles.

General: Hourly absence entries with missing start or end times are no longer saved, preventing incomplete records from being written.

Dashboard, Requests, Calendar: Absence balances and amounts in the Employee Hub now display in the correct units for each category, showing exact minutes or hours and minutes instead of day counts.

Documents, Employee Profile: Employee records and document downloads are now more tightly restricted so you only see files and personal details you're entitled to, with document links refreshing automatically—no change needed to how you work.

Time Tracking: Each time-tracking kiosk can now run on only one device at a time; opening it elsewhere prompts you to stop the other session or set up an additional kiosk.

Dashboard: In the German interface, time balance withdrawal now shows "Gutschrift" instead of "Auszahlung" on the button, dialog, and notification.

Employee Profile: You can now find skills in Hub search boxes using synonyms, abbreviations, or other languages—like typing "k8s" to find "Kubernetes"—while exact matches still appear first.

Dashboard: Custom Lightning Out pages and widgets in the Employee Hub now show a "Lightning Out is currently not available" message, preventing access to Salesforce data users shouldn't see.

Dashboard: Tables throughout the Hub have been rebuilt internally with no visible changes, laying the groundwork for future design improvements.

Goals: Employees can now open Scoring Overview from their Goals page to view category weights, scores, and the final total for the selected MBO period, and edit results if permitted.

Time Tracking: You can now see each team member's current time balance for the current week in the Controlling tab, without waiting for the week to end.

Employee Profile: Expired skills now show clearly with an "expired" badge on employee profiles, while being excluded from matching, skill gap analysis, matrix results, and charts.

Compensation, Dashboard, Requests: You'll now see more of the Employee Hub's compensation review and AI assistant screens translated into Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, or Russian, Spanish Slack notifications correctly show details like time remaining or how much a deadline was missed by, and some German and French labels are now properly translated.

🐞 Bug Fixes

Dashboard: You can now press Enter right after sending a message without losing that keystroke, so your next message no longer merges into the previous one.

Dashboard: Chat messages sent in quick succession will no longer be delayed or missing for other participants until they reopen the conversation.

Dashboard: You can now see the Edit and Delete options on your chat messages even when they include an image or long text.

Support tickets: Employee Hub ticket creation now correctly follows your Whistleblower policy's Active setting, so protections only apply when the policy is turned on.

Dashboard: Sending the first message in a new chat no longer triggers extra failed background requests or unnecessary API calls.

Dashboard: Sending a message, leaving a chat, or removing a member now happens reliably, preventing chats from losing their admin or members getting duplicate notifications.

Settings: Employees whose Hub account isn’t fully set up now see a clear message explaining setup is required, instead of an error when saving the Customer Support access setting.

Dashboard: Inventory items now stay accessible even after their parent inventory record has been removed.

Dashboard: Opening a link to a record that's since been deleted now shows a clear "not found" message for that item, instead of causing the entire page to fail.

Requests, Dashboard: If a support ticket has been deleted or is no longer accessible, the page now shows it as unavailable instead of failing to load the rest of your data.

Dashboard, Employee Profile, Requests, Recruiting: You can now scroll through large Hub and mobile lists past the first 2,000 records without pages failing to load.

Dashboard, Settings: Employees signing in via a login link or "Login as" now get real-time chat messages and time-tracking updates in the Hub immediately, without needing to set a password first.

Dashboard: Feedback ratings on assistant answers now save correctly, and the thumbs-up/thumbs-down buttons only appear once the assistant has finished writing its response.

Dashboard: AI chat now correctly distinguishes your personal goals from company-wide objectives, tells you clearly when you have none set, stops narrating its own lookups, links policy answers to the right page, and no longer treats questions about your own record as a privacy issue.

Employee Profile, Dashboard: The expand/collapse arrow on questionnaire and feedback sections now points the correct way, and buttons next to text are properly aligned again.

Settings: When Microsoft sign-in fails, you'll now see the actual error message instead of a blank or incorrect page.

Onboarding: When you sign in to the mobile app with your Microsoft work account for the first time, your profile is now set up automatically, even if you've never created a Hub password.

Workflows: Managers can now only view, not edit, workflow tasks assigned to another person or team, while still completing tasks assigned to their own employee.

Settings: Employees can now sign in with SAML even if their identity-provider certificate uses different formatting, spacing, or labels—no manual reformatting needed for existing setups.

Time Tracking: Managers can now load and view long timesheet histories without errors, even when more than 2,000 entries match the selected filters.

Time Tracking, Employee Profile, Dashboard: You can now use the bulk-approval bar in Time Management → Controlling, scroll tall dialogs like "Cheer a Coworker" fully into view, and open the top-right profile menu fully on-screen.

Onboarding: You can now update a task's status in the Workflows list without losing your place, so you can work through long checklists without scrolling back each time.

Onboarding: Employees can now sign in to the mobile app using Google Workspace and other configured single sign-on providers without errors.

Requests: The Overlapping Absences panel now only shows colleagues you're permitted to see, correctly applying visibility scopes and absence-type restrictions on both the approval page and approval requests sidebar.

Dashboard, Requests: You’ll now receive a notification in the Hub when your employee data change request is rejected, matching the style of approval notifications.

Time Tracking: You can now see and select extra time entry fields, like location, on your timesheet card even if you can't edit your own entries.

Time Tracking, Requests: You can now see and select from your full list of projects when submitting an expense or tracking time, and archived projects no longer clutter the picker.
